Karachi: Veteran batsman Mohammad Hafeez has taken a jibe at former cricketer and renowned commentator Ramiz Raja’s cricketing sense.
The 40-year-old stated that he respects Ramiz’s cricketing career but always had reservations regarding his game awareness.
“I acknowledge Ramiz [Raja] services for Pakistan cricket as a player. I respect his opinion but I have reservations over his cricketing sense and game awareness,” Hafeez said in an interview with Cricket Pakistan.
“If you talk to my 12-year-old son, even his game awareness is better than Ramiz bhai, “he added.

Hafeez thinks that Ramiz makes these statements to promote himself on social media but he affirmed that he will continue to play for Pakistan as long as possible.
“If Ramiz bhai wants to continue saying such things for promoting his YouTube channel, then I can’t stop with but I will continue playing for Pakistan as long as I’m fit and performing,” he maintained.
It must be noted that in April 2020, the former captain advised Hafeez and former captain Shoaib Malik to retire gracefully from international cricket.
Hafeez replied before traveling to England and stated that he won’t stop playing cricket on someone’s suggestion.
