Karachi: Middle-order batter Sohaib Maqsood expressed his happiness after selection in Pakistan cricket team for tours of England and West Indies.
The 34-year-old Sohaib last played for Green Shirts in 2016 and will be in action for the first time in 5.5 years.
“I had plans for the people of Multan [after Sultans claimed their first Pakistan Super League (PSL) title] but Almighty had a big plans for me that I’ll be traveling with the national team,” Sohaib said in the 33rd episode of PCB podcast.
It must be noted that Sohaib was the star performer for Sultans in PSL 6 and the performances paved his way for a comeback in the national side.
He scored 428 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of 157 whereas he bagged ‘player of the final’ and ‘best batsman of the tournament’ awards.
