St George Illawarra star Jack De Belin is set to be named to play for the Dragons this Thursday against the Broncos.
The 30-year-old turned out for the Dragons in their NSW Cup match against Western Suburbs on Saturday, just days after confirmation that the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions had dropped the remaining sexual assault charges against him.
It was his first game since he was charged in late 2018, and stood down under the NRL's no-fault stand-down policy.
While coach Anthony Griffin signalled that De Belin would need more time before he's NRL ready, it appears that path has been fast-tracked with the forward set to turn out for the Dragons in round 13.
It will be his first appearance in the NRL since September 2018.
With Tariq Sims out of the squad on State of Origin duties, Griffin has presumably decided to take a punt on De Belin, rushing him back into the fray.
