Collingwood president Mark Korda has written a passionate letter to the club's members amid an ugly political campaign to oust him from his position, calling for patience.
The club has been rocked by political infighting in the wake of Eddie McGuire's departure as president back in February, infighting which has only intensified since Korda was unveiled as McGuire's successor in April.

Collingwood's members signed a petition prior to the Magpies one-point loss to Port Adelaide in Round 10 in a bid to force an EGM and a leadership spill, with ex-Nine executive Jeff Browne understood to be making a bid to be the club's next president.
The under-fire Korda wrote that the political infighting could threaten the "essence of the Collingwood culture", pleading with the members remain patient despite the club's horror start to the 2021 season.
"I admire the white-hot passion among Magpie fans," Korda's letter in the Herald Sun read, in part.
"I embrace their right to forcefully debate team selection, coaching performances, recruiting decisions and, yes, Board matters.
"But members should be wary of the politics associated with attempted coups.
"Football banter will be replaced by damaging infighting that will threaten the essence of the Collingwood culture – Side by Side. When that withers, the club withers too.
"Coups are not good for football clubs – ask Eddie. We have already seen signs of Canberra-style undermining campaigns around Collingwood.
"There are other ways for members to vent their frustrations about the on-field and off-field performance of the club."
Korda defended the recent appointment of Dr Bridie O'Donnell to Collingwood's board, urging the furious members to check the credentials of the individuals on the board.
"I call on all Collingwood members and supporters to be part of the solution, have a little patience and resist the temptation to support change for change's sake," he wrote.
"Check the credentials of your Board members and ask yourself whether you really want to send their skills into exile."
