Quetta Gladiators’ Anwar Ali out of PSL 6 after returning positive COVID-19

Karachi: Quetta Gladiators all-rounder Anwar Ali has tested positive for COVID-19, ARY Sports reported.

According to details, the 33-year-old Anwar won’t travel to Abu Dhabi for the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) after returning a positive COVID-19 result which was conducted on his arrival at the team hotel in Karachi, yesterday. Anwar is currently under isolation in Karachi.

Anwar is the third individual to be ruled out of the tournament. Yesterday, Gladiators’ Naseem Shah was sent back home violating COVID-19 protocols while Multan Sultans’ Shahid Afridi suffered an injury in the lower back during training.

It must be noted that the squads have been confirmed for the Abu Dhabi leg. The squads will leave via chartered planes while international stars will join them too spending a mandatory seven-day quarantine period.
