SSGC, Pak Airforce advance to Round-of-16 in National Challenge Cup

Lahore: Sui Southern Gas Company defeated Wohaib FC 3-0 while Pakistan Airforce thrashed Nimso FC 6-0 to qualify for Round-of-16 in the ongoing National Challenge Cup.

At the Fame FC Ground in Lahore, SSGC dominated from the start of the match against Wohaib FC. Mohammad Tahir’s clinical strike provided them the lead in the 24th minute. Ubaid doubled the lead for SSGC in the 34th minute.

They were on song in the second half too as Mohammad Lal scored their third goal in the 88th minute. SSCG confirmed their victory and qualification to the Round-of-16 from Group ‘F’.

Pakistan Airforce outclassed inexperienced Nimso FC by 6-0 in the Group ‘G’ match. Mansoor Khan (50’), Faisal (54’, 56’), Samad Khan (59’, 66’) and Salman Khan (93’) scored for the winners.

On the other hand, Masha United suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat from SA Garden. Essa Bahader scored for the winners in the 30th and 62nd minutes while Fareedullah netted the only goal via penalty stroke for Masha United.

In the last match, Hazara Coal Company beat SNGPL in Group ‘G’ fixture. Sajjad scored the only goal for Hazara in the 58th minute.
