
Lahore: Pakistan’s Mohammad Inam Butt has won the bronze medal in the Asian Olympic qualifying round.
In Almaty, Mohammad Inam defeated a Kyrgyz wrestler in the 97kg category, however, the win couldn’t progress Pakistan to Tokyo Olympics.

Earlier Inam, Muhammad Bilal and Haroon Abid lost their respective matches in the first round of Olympic qualifiers. Pakistani wrestlers will now compete in the Asian Wrestling Championship.
Remember, Tokyo Olympics will be held from July 23 to August 8. It was postponed last year due to prevailing COVID-19.
