‘My aim is to reach stage where others are compared to me’ Babar Azam

Karachi: Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam aspires to reach a stage where top batsmen around the world would be compared to him.

While speaking to a YouTube channel Cricket Baaz, the 26-year-old said that he feels overwhelmed when he is compared to Virat Kohli and other top batsmen of the world.

“I feel happy and proud when pundits and fans compare me with top batters. My dream is to get to the same level where others are compared to me,” Babar said.

“My aim has always been to compete with them and try to produce the same amount of performances in every possible condition just like them,” he added.

It must be noted that he holds a unique record of being the only batsman to feature in the top-five spot in the ICC batting rankings of all three formats (second, third and fifth position in T20Is, ODIs and Tests respectively).
