Collin Morikawa, Tommy Fleetwood and other players to watch ahead of DP World Tour Championship

Ahead of the DP World Tour Championship which gets underway on December 10, we look at three players who could shine around Jumeirah Golf Estates.
COLLIN MORIKAWA
If the American is to win on his maiden appearance in Dubai, the key will most likely be his tight iron play, central to his PGA Championship triumph in August. Four weeks prior to that stunning major victory, he was four-shots down on the 16th hole at Muirfield and managed to edge Justin Thomas in a play-off for his second PGA Tour crown. To add to his rising stardom, the world No8 placed second at the Charles Schwab Challenge and achieved three further top-10s in 2020. Could be a force around the Earth course.
PATRICK REED
The Race to Dubai leader looks poised for a big finish to the season on the back of a productive year to date. The 30-year-old held off a stacked field to clinch the WGC title in Mexico in February, adding to his runner-up finish in Hawaii, third at Wentworth and an additional six top-10s in 2020. Was consistency personified at the majors this year, placing in a tie for 10th at the Masters plus a pair of top-15s at the US Open and PGA Championship. Has strong form around Jumeirah Golf Estates having shared second in 2018.
TOMMY FLEETWOOD
The 2017 Race to Dubai champion has endured a mixed campaign, losing in a play-off to Aaron Rai at the Scottish Open and sharing second in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of the year. Other stand-out results across 2020 include a pair of thirds at the Honda Classic and Portugal Masters. On the major stage, he netted top-20s at the PGA Championship and the Masters. The Southport man seems to love the UAE conditions, having placed second in 2019, and has all the tools in his armoury to conclude the year as European No1 for a second time.
