Christchurch: New Zealand’s wicketkeeper-batsman BJ Watling intervened in captain Kane Williamson’s press conference for a strange reason after Kiwis defeated Pakistan in the second Test at Hagley Oval.
The reason behind Watling’s interruption was that he wished to have his skipper’s autograph on his jersey.
The 30-year-old Williamson was surprised to see his new ‘big fan’. Williamson asked the reporters to wait for a minute as he fulfilled his teammate’s wish.
Blackcaps official Twitter handle shared this fanboying moment. “Kane Williamson certainly wasn’t expecting a visit from an autograph hunter at his post-match media conference #NZvPAK,” the caption read as.

It must be noted Williamson scored 238 as the hosts outplayed Pakistan by an inning and 176 runs.
Emerging Kyle Jamieson was the star with the ball, taking five wickets in each innings to record his maiden ten-wicket haul in a Test match. He was named Player of the Match.
