Departed Manly star Addin Fonua-Blake has hit out at a raft of spicy rumours surrounding his controversial move to the Warriors.
Fonua-Blake, 25, demanded to leave the Sea Eagles in September despite having two years left on his contract, claiming he needed the move for his family.
The New Zealand Test prop signed a three-year deal with the Warriors reportedly worth more than $2.5 million; believed to be a significant upgrade on his Manly salary.
Yet Fonua-Blake slammed the notion that he'd forced the club switch for money, or any other reasons that had been speculated.
"I heard my manager was doing under-the-table deals, which is completely false," Fonua-Blake told The Sun Herald.
"I heard some bikies were after me, which was news to me. I'm not [mates with bikies]. I heard I only wanted to leave for more money. All of it is untrue.
"I wanted a fresh start for myself and my family. I didn't leave Manly on bad terms, Dessie [Hasler] was understanding and respectful of my decision."
Fonua-Blake said he'd laughed off the more sensational rumours, adding: "I'm a big boy, I know what is right from wrong, I'm not scared of anyone. I'm not leaving on any bad terms with anyone."
