NBA star duds women who looked after his 90kg snake

NBA star Dwight Howard reportedly tried to avoid paying two women who took care of his 90kg pet snake, a lawsuit claims.

TMZ reports Armica Nabaa and Kamisha Shelman are seeking a minimum of $50,000 in unpaid wages for minding Howard's snake collection after the pair were fired by the Lakers star in January.

It comes after Nabaa claims she helped Howard secure his $2.56 million contract with the Lakers last season by using her "networks and contacts".

According to the report, Nabaa and Shelman were hired in December 2018 under the assumption they'd be doing the star's administrative work.

The women allege Howard soon loaded them with extra responsibilities after firing a butler, maid and groundskeeper.

Howard, who has been featured multiple times on Animal Planet's "Tanked," has "a number of large snakes," and one of them — "Cleopatra" — is a 200-pound constrictor that can grow to 25 feet, according to the report.

Howard recently signed with the 76ers on a one-year, $2.6 million contract after winning an NBA championship with the Lakers last season.
