PHF announces hockey series for Junior World Cup preparations

LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced to stage four-teams series to help Junior team prepare for upcoming Federation of International (FIH)’s Junior Hockey World Cup. 

The hockey series featuring Pakistan’s Junior team, WAPDA, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) will run from July 10 to 18. Lft Colonel (R) Asif Naz Khokhar has been appointed as tournament’s director.

“This series has been organized to help our team prepare strongly for Junior World Cup. We will make sure our players make the most of this opportunity,” Khokhar said in a released statement.

Currently, Junior team is having a training camp here at National Hockey Stadium. Alongside coaches, players are working on strength and skills.

FIH Junior Hockey World Cup is scheduled from 24 November to 5 December 2021 in India.
