Pakistan takes rest before final training session

CARDIFF: Pakistan team, which is on the tour of England, took a rest after reaching here this evening to participate in the first One Day International of three-matches series against the home team on July 8.

The national team, which is in a bio-secure bubble, reached here via bus. They will take a rest till tomorrow morning when they will be having a final practice session ahead of the first contest. At 9 am tomorrow, the team will be out for training.

Adding to your information, England’s three players and four players were tested positive for COVID-19 earlier today. Reportedly, Eoin Morgan, Adil Rashid, and Jonny Bairstow were those three players.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) revised the schedule on an urgent basis and named Ben Stokes stand-in captain.

England’s revised squad:

Ben Stokes (C), Dawid Malan, David Payne, John Simpson, Jake Ball, Danny Briggs, Brydon Carse, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Lewis Gregory, Tom Helm, Will Jacks, Dan Lawrence, Saqib Mahmood, Craig Overton, Matt Parkinson, Phil Salt, James Vince.
