Derby: Pakistan men’s team head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has said that he is not thinking much about the absence of Younis Khan, who resigned ahead of the England tour.
The 47-year-old Misbah said to reporters from room isolation in Derby that he doesn’t want to comment on the matter mutually decided between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Younis.
“I won’t comment further as the matter is between PCB and Younis. We have to move forward with the resources we have,” Misbah said.
“Of course, the players have benefited from Younis’s experience but now we have to live without it,” he added.

On the other hand, Younis rated England as a ‘dangerous side’ and it is a great opportunity for players to play against them as the T20 World Cup is around the corner.
“The tour of England is always important and has become even more important before the World Cup. Playing against a strong team will give us a good opportunity to prepare,” Misbah said.
“First there are ODI matches, then there will be T20 matches. Players can bring back their form,” he maintained.
Misbah opined that the T20I side is quite settled but still few places in the middle-order are up for grabs.
“We have faced issues at number 5 and 6 spots and we are trying to fill in that gap. We know our bowling attack and the top four. In the next two series, we only have to look at that position on how to settle it down,” he opined.
Remember, Green Shirts reached Birmingham on Friday via a chartered plane from Lahore. England will host Pakistan for three ODIs and as many T20Is. After the conclusion of the series, Pakistan will leave for the Caribbean on July 21.
