Kyrgios handed thrilling rematch at Wimbledon

Nick Kyrgios will face France's Ugo Humbert in the opening round of Wimbledon in a rematch of one of the most exciting matches in February's Australian Open.

Kyrgios will play in his first Grand Slam outside Australia since the 2019 US Open when he takes to the court to face Humbert after also sitting out last month's Roland-Garros.

The 26-year-old is in the same section of the draw as Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Zverev.

Kyrgios and Humbert faced off in the second round of this year's Australian Open, where the Australian prevailed in a thrilling five-setter.

Australia's top-ranked player in the men's singles draw, Alex de Minaur, will face Sebastian Korda in the opening round and could face Roland-Garros finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round.

Tsitsipas, the No.3 seed, will face a tough first-round opponent in America's Frances Tiafoe.

The first-round will also feature a match-up of two of tennis' ultimate warriors, with Australia's John Millman drawn against Spain's Roberto Bautista-Agut.

With Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem sitting out of Wimbledon this year, Roger Federer received a favourable draw, avoiding No.1 seed Novak Djokovic until the final.

Djokovic, who will be aiming to make it three Grand Slams in three attempts this year, will face British teenager Jack Draper in the opening round.

Andy Murray's Wimbledon comeback will see him face off against 24th seed Nikoloz Basilashvili in the opening round, while Australian Open finalist Daniil Medvedev will face Jan-Lennard Struff in his opening match.

In the women's singles draw, No.1 seed Ash Barty was drawn against Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro in the opening round, and she could face hometown hero Johanna Konta in a potential third-round clash.

Serena Williams will continue her quest for a 24th career Grand Slam title when she opens her Wimbledon campaign against Alexandra Sasnovich.
