Port players caught on camera face investigation

As many as four Port Adelaide AFL players have been caught up in a possible breach of COVID-19 protocols, after footage emerged of the quartet at the Australian Olympic swimming trials without masks.

Zak Butters, Mitch Georgiades, Ollie Lord and Dylan Williams were shown on Amazon Prime's coverage of the selection trials without masks.

According to the guidelines set out by Swimming Australia prior to the meet, masks were compulsory.

"Swimming Australia, in collaboration with SA Health and SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre, have measures in place to ensure this event is run in accordance with the approved COVID Management Plan," the event website says.

"Masks must be worn at all times unless consuming food/drink while in your allocated seat."

Georgiades, the only one of the four who's been named for the Power this weekend, is pictured with what appears to be a drink in his hand, which would exempt him from wearing a mask at the time he was shown on the coverage.

MORE TO COME.
