10 clubs in lockdown amid COVID chaos

The AFL's 10 Victorian clubs have all been put into lockdown for seven days in response to Melbourne's new COVID-19 outbreak.

According to an SEN report, the AFL told its Victorian teams today it was taking extra steps to avoid any impact on the competition and upcoming fixtures.

It was revealed earlier today Melbourne's COVID-19 outbreak had grown to 15 cases overnight.

"Only four reasons to leave the home for players: That's obviously goods and services … care and compassionate reasons, exercise and other essential reasons such as petrol station, post offices, vets, etcetera," SEN reporter Sam Edmund told Dwayne's World on Wednesday

"They can only have visitors as well that pertain to emergency care, compassionate or welfare reasons."
