Fans to miss Shahid Afridi in PSL 6 remainder

LAHORE: All-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi will not be able to represent Multan Sultans in the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6 due to injury.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and his franchise confirmed that the latter suffered lower back pain during his training in Karachi for the remaining PSL 6.

Asif Afridi has joined Sultans for the remaining PSL 6 as a replacement for the experienced all-rounder.

“I am disappointed that I would be sitting out of the tournament, but my best wishes, support and prayers are with the team to take the trophy,” Afridi reacted on missing the upcoming mega event.

On the other hand, Islamabad United have included left-handed batsman Umar Amin and West Indies opener Brandon King. Peshawar Zalmi have added Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Sameen Gul and Khalid Usman as reserve players in their squad.

Both teams completed their 20-players squad for the multi-teams teams premium tournament of Pakistan.
