‘We failed to grow on technical side despite PSL’s success’ Ramiz

LAHORE: Cricketer-turned-commentator Ramiz Raja expressed disappointment over the lack of interest on the technical/broadcast side despite the massive growth of Pakistan Super League (PSL) during the last six years.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Raja said no Pakistani can be seen in the production team which is a weak point for the country. “We are too weak at this side as we barely see any Pakistani in the broadcast team as a technician. Unfortunately, we are forced to bring people from outside which cost us a lot financially and talent-wise as well,” he said.

“We have immense talent in this field but there is no proper training. We are almost zero on the technical side when it comes to quality production. PSL was a great opportunity to bring in our own people into this but we failed to do so. Had we thought about this, it would have benefitted us a lot,” he added.

The renowned commentator asked people to take interest in this field as it has a huge scope. “This field has a huge scope and you get a chance to earn handsome amount and international tours. Take interest in this field and make your country’s name,” he concluded.
