LAHORE: All six franchises have called their local players and supporting staff at two centres (Lahore and Karachi) on May 24.
According to the details, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and franchises owners held a virtual meeting on Thursday after they got final confirmation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to host the remaining PSL 6 in Abu Dhabi.
It was agreed in the meeting that the local players and supporting staff will gather in Karachi and Lahore respectively on May 24 where they will undergo second COVID-19 testing before entering the bio-secure bubble.
The teams will depart for Abu Dhabi from both the centres via a chartered plane on May 26. Upon their arrival in Abu Dhabi, a seven-day quarantine will be compulsory on every individual involved in the completion of the extravaganza.
On the other hand, PCB has called a meeting tonight for operational planning. The meeting will discuss and finalise the process of visas and chartered plane for players and supporting staff. The revised schedule of the event is also expected to come out after this meeting.
Reportedly, the PSL 6 will now resume from June 3 followed by the final on June 20. Due to limited time, mostly double-headers will be played.
