Despite challenges, good for Pakistan cricket to move forward: Mr Salman on PSL 6 resumption

Karachi: Karachi Kings’ owner Mr. Salman Iqbal has said that despite various challenges, it is good for Pakistan cricket to stage remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six matches in these unprecedented times.

PCB confirmed it has received all outstanding approvals and exemptions from the UAE government for staging matches in Abu Dhabi.

Mr. Salman revealed that various challenges will be discussed in an online meeting today where all stakeholders will look to finalize matters related to the league.

“It is important to discuss remaining logistical challenges as the weather has been very hot and the things will be planned accordingly. There might be double-headers, so let’s see what happens after the meeting,” he said in a special transmission on ARY News.

“We have to finalize things in a short period of time but it’s great for our cricket to move forward in these tough times,” he added.

Mr. Salman revealed that Karachi Kings’ players are excited to once light up the tournament in Abu Dhabi.

“Our boys already packed as they had to go to quarantine from yesterday. They are ready and excited to play,” he maintained.

Mr. Salman opined that cricket brings joy to the face of fans and it is very important that cricket activities must resume once again.

“Our people have been listening to the bad news for the last twelve, fourteen months. I have always said that cricket should come back, cricket is a positive trend for our country and the region,” he concluded.
