Ross Lyon has urged Collingwood to get rid of any players who aren't behind Nathan Buckley after recent reports suggesting Buckley had lost some players' trust.
Currently unsigned for next season, Buckley's future at Collingwood has been a major distraction amid the Magpies' shocking 2-7 start to the season.
Despite the disappointing start to the season, the mass off-field upheaval at Collingwood could see Buckley retained for another season on a one-year deal.
Speaking after a Herald Sun report, which stated that there was "little spark (and) little energy" under Buckley, Lyon didn't mince his words on what the club needed to do.
"The first thing you do is get rid of the pity party in the corner that are talking to each other and take ownership of what you can control and your performance," he told Nine's Footy Classified.
"I just think on any list there's going to be some players who are disillusioned when you're losing.
"This is a test for Collingwood. Strong boards don't wobble and don't submit, they don't let the tail wag the dog. It's mischievous and I think it's an easy article to write.
"(New football boss Graham Wright) is in there, he'll make the judgement. Players don't appoint coaches, boards and football operation managers do."
