UAE government gives green signal for PSL 6: sources

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) finally got a green signal from the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s government to stage the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6 in Abu Dhabi in July.

According to the sources, the UAE government has allowed PCB to stage the remaining PSL 6 in Abu Dhabi. After the confirmation, PCB has raced their efforts to put things in place for the successful completion of the tournament.

The cricket board will release the revised schedule soon once they complete planning on a new budget, production, logistics, bio-secure bubble, and other things. Remember, a British company has already been hired to manage the bio-secure bubble.

Players will undergo COVID-19 testing on Thursday and will gather to enter the bio-secure bubble. Sources further told ARY News that strict SoPs will be enforced and players will be sent back home if they breach the bio-secure bubble.

Previously, the remaining PSL 6 was scheduled in Karachi from June 1 to 20. But, National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) suggested PCB to shift the tournament due to the current COVID-19 surge in the country.
