Pakistan win second Test by an innings and 147 runs, clinch series 2-0

Harare: Pakistan yet again outclassed hosts Zimbabwe by an innings and 147 runs in the second Test, clinching the Test series 2-0 at Harare Sports Club.

The visitors were one wicket away on Day four after removing nine wickets yesterday. The 21-year-old Shaheen Shah took the last wicket of Luke Jongwe (37) and completed his five-wicket haul.

For Zimbabwe, Regis Chakabva was the unbeaten scorer as he made 80 off 137 while skipper Brendan Taylor made quickfire 49.

Left-arm spinner Nauman and Shaheen were the only two bowlers for Pakistan among the wicket-takers. Nauman finished with figures of 5/86 while Shaheen took 5/52.

Yesterday, Pakistan enforced follow-on after they bundled out Zimbabwe for 132 in first innings. Pacer Hasan Ali was the star bowler as he finished with career best-figures of 5/27.

Pakistan registered a massive 510/8 after winning the toss courtesy of a double-century by Abid Ali (215) while Azhar Ali smacked his 18th Test ton.

Player of the Match award was handed to Abid Ali for his double century. Meanwhile, the Player of the Series was claimed by Hasan Ali for his twin five-wicket hauls in the first and second Tests.

Remember, prior to Test series, Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 2-1 in the three-match T20I series.
