Star South Sydney halfback Adam Reynolds is out for four to six weeks after tearing ligaments in his thumb in his side's victory over the Raiders.
In a major blow for the Rabbitohs' title hopes, Reynolds will have to sit and watch from the sidelines as his troops endure a tough month of footy against the likes of the Storm, Cronulla, Panthers and the Eels.
The Daily Telegraph reports, X-rays revealed the extent of Reynolds' injury after he persevered through pain to lead the Bunnies to a thrilling win in the nation's capital.
It's expected coach Wayne Bennett will move inform veteran Benji Marshall to halfback and Cody Walker back to five-eighth, meaning he will have to find another fullback replacement for Latrell Mitchell.
Young gun teammate Cam Murray is also facing three weeks on the sideline after sustaining a serious lower leg injury that may reportedly require surgery.
