Pakistan International Squash Tournament kicks off in Islamabad

Islamabad: As many as 8 matches results were decided on the opening day of the Pakistan International Squash Tournament. 

Players advanced to the next round by winning their opening matches in the tournament. Tayyab Aslam, Amad Fareed, Farhan Zaman, Danish Atlas, Asim Khan moved into the second round.

4: Waqas Mehboob Beat Muhammad Farhan – 11-9, 11-4, 11-9 (18 Min)

5: Muhammad Bilal Beat Abdul Qadir – 7-11, 11-4, 11-5, 10-12, 11-8 (36 Min)

6: Haris Qasim Beat Salman Saleem – 11-9, 11-6, 11-9 (39 Min)

7: Nasir Iqbal Beat Hamza Sharif (WC) – 16-14, 6-11, 11-7, 11-7 (46 Min)

8: Zeeshan Zeb (WC) Beat Saeed Abdul – 11-9, 11-4, 9-11, 11-8 (36 Min)

It must be noted here that this tournament is taking place under the banner of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) in collaboration with the Pakistan Air Force. Men event carries a prize purse of US$ 12,000/- and has a draw of 32 players whereas Women event has US$ 6,000/- prize money featuring 16 players.

The second round of Men event will be played on December 8 whereas the Women event will take place on the same day.
