Ricciardo fumbles his way through awkward Q&A

Aussie F1 star Daniel Ricciardo has fumbled his way through an awkward Q&A with a fan who had a bizarre question for the McLaren driver.

Answering questions ahead of the Portugal Grand Prix, a fan named "Laura" put the Aussie on the spot when she took the Q&A into bizarre territory.

"Do you believe the story of the length of your nose? There is gossip about the length of your nose. It has something to do with other," a reporter relayed before Ricciardo realised where it was heading.

"Ah yes! Big nose … big toes!" he said.

But the reporter pushed on.

"Is it true?" he persisted.

"Maybe after F1 I get into another career," Ricciardo joked. "And then … (laughing) Stop. Stop.

"But I am happy and comfortable with myself. Thank you, goodbye!"
