Karachi: Former Sri Lankan batsman Russel Arnold was in awe of Pakistan skipper Babar Azam after he became the fastest player to score 2000 T20I runs.
The 26-year-old Babar achieved the feat during the third T20I against Zimbabwe in Harare yesterday, taking just 52 innings. He broke Indian captain Virat Kohli’s record of 56 innings.
“It’s amazing that such a classy player gets to this milestone quicker than anyone else. It’s not all slogs and power. Congratulations,” Arnold tweeted

It must be noted Babar has been in top form recently as he scored his maiden T20I century on April 14 against South Africa at SuperSport Park, Centurion.
