Former Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan and his family are safe after coming face to face with a home invader last month.

According to TMZ

, DeRozan heard a commotion upstairs where his children were hanging out in his Los Angeles area home on Nov. 19.

A source told the celebrity news site that DeRozan – who currently plays with the San Antonio Spurs – “chased the man out of his house.”

The intruder’s intended target appeared to be Kylie Jenner’s home, but he had made a mistake.

A man was later arrested trying to re-enter the gated community.

Justin Bergquist was charged with one count of felony burglary, according to TMZ.

DeRozan said he and his family are fine following the scary encounter.

“I grew up in Compton, California,”

he told ESPN
