Naseem, Rohail called up for National Test camp

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called six additional players for the national Test team’s training camp ahead of Zimbabwe tour. 

According to the PCB, Naseem Shah, Rohail Nazir, Taj Wali, Irfanullah Shah, Waqas Maqsood, Sameen Gul will be joining the Test squad for training. The players will be working with National High-Performance Centre (NHPC) coaches for future development.

The training camp for Zimbabwe-bound Test squad is scheduled from April 11 to 20. 11 Test team players will depart for Zimbabwe on April 21. The rest of the players will join them from South Africa.

Players’ camp will take place under strict SoPs with two COVID-19 testings. Players have to return negative in COVID-19 tests twice.

NHPC coaches including Mohammad Yousuf (batting coach), Saqlain Mushtaq (head of players development), Mushtaq Ahmed (spin bowling coach), Atiq-uz-Zaman (fielding coach) and Umar Rasheed (fast bowling coach) will supervise the training camp.
