A fuming Collingwood fan had to be held back by security as he attempted to get at umpires following Brisbane's comeback win over the Pies.
Trailing much of the night, the Lions made one final foray down the middle of the ground in the final minute, with veteran defender Daniel Rich nailing a precision pass to an unmarked Zac Bailey 45m out directly in front with 20 seconds left, before the youngster drilled home after the siren.
It was a spectacular sequence to finish what was a thrilling clash. But it fast turned ugly when security were forced to act quickly and restrain a wild fan who attempted to accost umpires as they made their way from the field at Marvel Stadium.
"It's a f—–g joke," one fan said as he was pulled away from the umpires. While others joined in with sledges of their own.
3AW Football boundary rider Jacqui Reed captured the footage and posted it to Twitter, explaining a number of fans had gone at the umpires as they exited the field.
"These are the scenes post-match tonight," Reed tweeted.
"Super scary when you're wearing headphones and don't hear anyone coming and suddenly they're right in front of you! Well done to the security guard."
