Wallabies legend Tim Horan has relived a hilarious tale of getting busted by master coach Eddie Jones.
Horan, a former Wallabies selector with Jones in the early 2000s, told the story on Stan Sport's Super Rugby coverage as the panel looked forward to Dave Rennie unveiling his first Test squad of 2021 on Sunday.
"It's very tough, I was a Wallabies selector for about three years with Eddie Jones, in the Eddie Jones era, in the early days," Horan began.
"He was really particular – you had to watch every game, every video, you'd watch four or five games a week and you really had to be particular about watching the games and who was playing and why. I actually remember one time the Waratahs played and I couldn't make the game.
"I was at a 40th birthday party and every Sunday morning we always had a meeting. I came back to Eddie in the meeting and I hadn't seen the game.

"I knew the Waratahs had won and I said to Eddie 'gee I thought Nathan Grey was wonderful in the centres, what a player he is and gee he had a great match last night.'
"He just looked at me and said 'maaate – he didn't play maaate, he got injured in the warmup.' So I think that was my last game as selector."
Horan was replaced by Michael O'Connor as a Wallabies selector.
