Lahore: Legendary leg-spinner Late Abdul Qadir has been awarded ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’, Pakistan’s third-highest civilian award.
Cricketer Umar Akmal, Qadir’s son in law shared a photo of the award while Qadir’s wife received the award, handed by Governor Punjab, Chaudary Mohammad Sarwar.

Remember, President of Pakistan Arif Alvi announced ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’ for the legendary leg-spinner on 14 August 2020. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) termed ‘proud moment’ for the country’s cricket family.

It must be noted that Qadir passed away due to a sudden heart attack in his hometown Lahore in September 2019.
