It’s rivalry week again, and with Texas & Texas A&M finally playing meaningful football at the same time, here’s a fun throwback: the last time the Aggies beat the Longhorns was way back in 2010. A lot has changed since then — not just in college football, but literally everywhere else. Von Miller was wrecking backfields, Ryan Tannehill was still at QB for A&M, Cam Newton was taking over the sport, and the world was singing “Like a G6.” Also, Instagram had just launched, there was no NIL, no transfer portal, no Playoff, and A&M wasn’t even in the SEC yet. Wild to think about how different the sport and the world were the last time the Lone Star Showdown ended in maroon. I put together a full breakdown of everything happening in sports, pop culture, and CFB in 2010 the last time A&M pulled it off Curious — what’s everyone’s strongest memory from the 2010 rivalry era? submitted by /u/Creepy_Ring899 |
