Star wingers facing suspension over tackles

Star wingers Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Kyle Feldt are facing bans of two to three weeks after incidents in Saturday NRL matches.

Bulldogs ace Watene-Zelezniak was charged with a grade two careless high tackle for a shot that forced Penrith halfback Nathan Cleary from the field, late in a Canterbury loss.

Cowboys flyer Feldt copped a grade two dangerous throw charge after a strong tackle gone wrong on Dragons centre Jack Bird, amid a North Queensland defeat.

Nathan Cleary is helped up after a tackle by Dallin Watene-Zelezniak during the round two NRL match between the Canterbury Bulldogs and Penrith Panthers.

Both players could be suspended for two matches with an early guilty plea, or three games if they unsuccessfully argue their case at the judiciary.

Watene-Zelezniak could miss matches against the Broncos, Rabbitohs and Storm. Feldt risks being sidelined for games against the Titans, Sharks and Wests Tigers.

Both the Bulldogs and Cowboys are winless after two rounds.
