Hasan Ali’s SA tour will depend on third testing

LAHORE: National team’s pacer, Hasan Ali has been tested negative in his second COVID-19 testing, sources told ARY News.

Hasan missed the national team’s training camp after his first COVID-19 Test returned positive. The pacer was put into isolation immediately.

Having suffered from COVID-19 earlier too, Hasan will have to undergo third testing for the widely-spread virus. A second negative result will allow him to join the team’s training camp which is underway ahead of the South Africa tour. He will be tested again tomorrow.

Hasan had been named in all three formats for South Africa and Zimbabwe tours.

It must be noted here that Hasan was among those six players who were tested COVID-19 positive during Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6. The league was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the bio-secure bubble and is likely to resume in May-June.
