KARACHI: International Cricket Council (ICC)’s Elite umpire, Pakistan’s Aleem Dar has become the first-ever umpire to stand in 400 international matches.
Aleem stood in his 53rd T20I which was played between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. This match helped him complete his presence as an umpire in 400th international match.
Speaking on this occasion, Dar said that this achievement wasn’t possible without the support of his family and parents. “I dedicate this achievement to my parents and all family members. Without their support, this wasn’t possible at all. I would like to thank them for their support and wishes throughout,” he said.
The umpire also thanked the media, ICC, and PCB for their support in his career. “I would like to thank the media for their support. They highlighted my little achievements which helped me reach this stage,” he highlighted.
“And, in the end, I would like to thank Pakistani people who were there for me every time. Their support was one of the biggest confidence boosters for me,” he added.
