Member of coaching staff tests COVID-19 positive ahead of Africa tour

Lahore: Video Analyst Talha Butt has been ruled out of Pakistan tour of Africa after he returned COVID-19 positive, ARY Sports reported.

Talha Butt, along with other members of the coaching staff, underwent a routine test for the virus before the national team camp.

Usman Hashmi will accompany the Pakistan team as a video analyst on tours of South Africa and Zimbabwe. He has joined the national squad in Lahore.

Remember, pacer Hasan Ali tested positive for COVID-19 in the first COVID-19 test. He will join the team after he returns a negative test and isolation period of two more days.

It must be noted that Pakistan’s white-ball squad took part in the first training camp at Gaddafi Stadium. The squad will leave for South Africa on March 26.
