PCB hopeful to get Indian visa assurance in ICC meeting

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will be looking forward to getting Indian visa assurance in International Cricket Council (ICC)’s Chief Executive meeting at the end of this month.

According to the details, PCB had asked ICC to make sure that the Pakistan team will get an Indian visa for their participation in T20 World Cup this year. March 30 was set as the deadline to get the assurance from the international cricket body.

Now, Indian media claimed that the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) have got clearance from their government to issue visa to Pakistani team for the mega event.

PCB awaits any official confirmation from the ICC and is hopeful to get it in the Chief Executive meeting. “We haven’t got any official answer from the ICC so far. Hopefully, in a chief executive meeting at the end of this month, we get any answer from their side,” a PCB’s representative told ARY News.

It must be noted here that T20 World Cup will be held in India in October and November later this year. Pakistan has a direct qualification into the tournament.
