When the “sports dream” is used as a trap!

Some traffickers lure young athletes with fake offers to join sports academies or get contracts abroad. Instead of training, they end up in forced labor, abuse, or abandonment — sometimes even extorted for “training fees.”

A new campaign by Mission 89 and IOM is pushing sports bodies and governments to build stronger safeguards so kids chasing their dreams aren’t exploited.
