Islamabad: Veteran pacer Wahab Riaz believes that it’s easy to come in Pakistan’s team set-up but it is important to perform consistently in order to stay.
The 35-year-old Wahab was dropped from the white-ball squad for South Africa and Zimbabwe tours. He last represented Pakistan in a T20I match against New Zealand in December 2020.
“The young fast bowlers selected for the tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe do not even have experience of 10 first-class matches,” Wahab said in a press conference at Shalimar Ground in Islamabad.
“We do not tolerate the failure of player, young players should be included in the team thoughtfully,” he added.
Note, Men in Green will travel to South Africa on March 26. They will play three ODIs part of ICC World Cup Super League and four T20Is. They will fly straight to Zimbabwe where they will play two Tests and three T20Is.
