It’s normal to jump for excitement.
Olympic gymnast Simone Biles did just that — and then some — before throwing the ceremonial first pitch prior to Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday.
The world’s most decorated gymnast wowed fans at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, by performing a twisting backflip on the pitcher’s mound before tossing the first pitch of the game.

The crowd cheered wildly after the 22-year-old Biles’ leap. She then successfully pitched the ball to Houston Astros centre fielder Jake Marisnick.
, Biles became the most decorated gymnast in the world after winning her record 25th world championship. The Olympian is also a hometown girl, having grown up in Spring, a suburb just north of Houston.
Despite Bile’s acrobatic pitch, the hometown Astros weren’t able to dispatch the Washington Nationals, who defeated Houston 12-3.
