Lahore: Former off-spinner Tauseef Ahmed, who suffered a heart attack at a wedding ceremony in Lahore, has been shifted to Punjab Institute of Cardiology on the special orders of Prime Minister’s House.
The 62-year-old Tauseef traveled to Lahore a few days back from Karachi to attend a wedding ceremony. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, however, now he is in Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
According to Tauseef’s nephew Saifuddin, Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary called and inquired about the former cricketer’s health.
The Prime Minister’s House has assigned Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid to take care of Tauseef Ahmed.
“Tauseef Ahmed’s health is much better now and he is recovering well. He will be given stents in Punjab Cardiology,” Saifuddin said.
Meanwhile, the cricket fraternity have also prayed for Tauseef’s best possible recovery.
Best wishes and speedy recovery to Tauseef Ahmed as he recovers in ICU after suffering a heart attack. Was wondering if PCB has plans of issuing health card/ insurance for current and ex-players?
