Karachi: Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has questioned all-rounder Imad Wasim and opener Shan Masood’s exclusion from the squads for the tours of South Africa and Zimbabwe next month.
Former wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid thinks that the duo cannot be dropped based on their performances.
“Imad and Shan have been treated as scapegoats. If we talk about performances in domestic cricket, it’s impossible to drop Shan in Test and ODIs,” he said on his YouTube channel ‘Caught Behind’.
“He [Shan] has been among the highest run-getter in Test cricket for the last year and also have runs in List-A cricket, if there is a personal grudge that’s a different thing but neither Imad nor Shan can’t be dropped based on performance,” Rashid said.
Remember, chief selector Mohammad Wasim announced squads of all three formats for South Africa (3 ODIs, 4 T20Is) and Zimbabwe (3 T20Is, 2 Tests) tours yesterday at Gaddafi Stadium.
