Does ESPN fact check anymore?

Read this article on ESPN today. One of the last paragraphs states Mahomes was the first QB to take his team to 3 straight Super Bowls. That's so blatantly incorrect and something a quick Google search can fix, but it was still posted. How does a writer, editor, fact checker, and publisher of a multi million dollar top Sports Media corporation in the world not catch this and/or not fix or correct this?
