Shahid Afridi leaves LPL halfway due to personal matters

Hambantota: All-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi has left the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) halfway due to personal matters.

Afridi, who was representing Galle Gladiators in the league, shared the reason for leaving the event halfway on Twitter with his fans.

“Unfortunately, I have a personal emergency to attend to back home. I will return to join back my team at LPL immediately after the situation is handled. All the best,” he wrote.

It must be noted here that Afridi made his entry to LPL with a splendid 20-ball half-century. He scored 70 runs in three matches with a fifty at an average of 23.33.
