Bledisloe heads west as Wallabies fixture confirmed

The Wallabies will host the All Blacks for the Bledisloe Cup in Perth for just the third time next October.

And up north, rugby fans in Townsville will get their first glimpse the Wallabies in four years when they host Argentina in September.

The two sides played in front of a near-capacity crowd during the pandemic in 2021. The Wallabies won that clash 27-8.

They will return to Queensland Country Bank Stadium on September 6, before playing at Allianz Stadium in Sydney a week later on September 13.

A massive crowd of 58,000 filled Perth's Optus Stadium to see the Wallabies downed by the Springboks in August.

All three fixtures are part of The Rugby Championship, which follows a three-Test tour by the British and Irish Lions.

"We saw again this year the massive support for the game in Perth … and I'm sure we'll see great interest when the Bledisloe Cup Test returns to Western Australia next year," Rugby Australia boss Phil Waugh said.

"To be able to return to Townsville demonstrates our commitment to making our national teams more accessible to more Australians and we look forward to returning to Sydney the following week for what's always a strong supporter base for the Wallabies."
