'Crazy': Des, Foran react to 'dumb' capitulation

Titans coach Des Hasler has described his side's capitulation as "crazy" after they surrendered a half-time lead to lose 18-10 against the Tigers.

Playing at Leichhardt Oval, the home side didn't hit the lead until the 60th minute but managed to hold on after a strong start from the Titans.

Justin Olam was the star with two tries despite his side only finishing with two line breaks compared to the Titans' nine.

That statistic in particular drew the ire of the Titans coach as he voiced his frustration post-match.

"What can you say?," Hasler replied when asked what his message was to the team.

"It's pretty obvious. Really disappointing, it's just crazy, you make nine line breaks to two, have the game set up, won field position, did all that part of the game, go out in the second half and complete nearly nine sets. It's just crazy.

"We just couldn't complete, couldn't get through our sets and it's really disappointing.

"They (the Tigers) just stayed in it, we just kept them in the game, they stayed in the game and ended up walking away with the win. It's as simple as that.

"You don't make nine line breaks to two and lose."

Titans captain Kieran Foran was equally as scathing, describing the performance as "stupid".

"It's just dumb, there's no other way to describe it," he said.

"It's just stupid. We shot ourselves in the foot, just invited them back in the game. They hung in there, they were tough in the first half but really, like Des said, you make nine line breaks, you want to come up with more tries than two.

"And then you go out in the second half and you're in front and just keep turning the ball over. You're just handing them the win, it's just dumb."

Next week the Titans will play the Warriors on Saturday while the Tigers are up against the Raiders on the Sunday.
