Match between IU and QG postponed after a cricketer tested COVID-19 positive

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has postponed Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 6’s 12th match between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United following Fawad Ahmed’s COVID-19 positive test. 

United’s Fawad suffered COVID-19 symptoms a couple of days before as per the franchise management. Upon Test, the cricketer came out positive for this widely-spread virus.

All other players and staff of United came negative after they were tested immediately on Monday.

The cricket board has now rescheduled today’s contest for tomorrow at the same time. Ticket holders of today’s match can come tomorrow to watch the match and tickets will also be refunded on request.

Remember, tomorrow was the rest day according to the PSL 6 schedule.
